Here is some information for this week:
Teachers and Professionals Strike Action – November 6th
- Please see the attached letter from the WQSB
- All classes and transportation have been cancelled on November 6th due to a Teacher’s Union and Professional’s Union strike action
Heritage College Program Exploration Day
- On November 16th all grade 11 students are invited to attend this event at Heritage College
- Students will have an opportunity to tour the campus, meet staff and attend 2 workshops in the programs of their choice
- Permission forms can be found in Student Services – the deadline to submit a signed form is November 10th
Attendance During Midterms/Exams
- To help families plan ahead, please note that the formal D’Arcy McGee Midterm period is between February 5th – February 9th, 2024
- Attendance during midterms and final exams is mandatory and as per the Ministry of Education Guidelines, only the following reasons for student absences will be accepted:
· Illness or accident confirmed by a medical report or certificate
· Death of a close relative
· A court summons
· Participation in a provincial or national event
