Here is some information for this week:

Grade 9 Parents

• Please see the attached letter from our CISSSO nurse
• Grade 9 students will be offered standard vaccines here at school on OCTOBER 22nd and OCTOBER 23rd

Prom Fundraiser

• Please see the attached letter from our grade 11 student-led prom committee

School Fees

• School fees can now be viewed on the Parent Portal
• Online payments are preferred, and instructions can be found here:  https://symmesdarcy.westernquebec.ca/about/school-fees/
• You will need the statement of account open on the Parent Portal for the banking file number and the parent code
• Please note that the banking file number changes when your child transitions from Symmes to D’Arcy

Health Forms

• Please complete the attached health form for your child

College, University and Trades Evening

• Please see the attached poster for event details

Attention Grads!

• The sale of grad hoodies has been extended to Tuesday, October 14^th
• There are over 15 colours to choose from and the cost is $50 – CASH ONLY
• Please have your child see Ms. Richardson in room 318
• This is the only time this year that grad hoodies will be available to purchase
• Not a grad? Hoodies for non-grads are also available for $45

D’Arcy McGee Midterms

• Please note that our formal midterm session for D’Arcy students is February 2^nd – 6^th, 2025
• Attendance during midterms and final exams is mandatory and as per the Ministry of Education Guidelines, only the following reasons for student absences will be accepted:

·         Illness or accident confirmed by a medical report or certificate

·         Death of a close relative

·         A court summons

·         Participation in a provincial or national event

• Regular classes will be running during the times when your child does not have an exam scheduled
• The finalized midterm schedule will be published after the winter break

Upcoming Dates

• October 13^th – Thanksgiving Monday – no school
• October 15^th – Student progress reports published to the parent portal
• October 24^th – PD Day
• November 13^th – College, University and Trades evening – Philemon Wright High School
